Nancy Linnerooth - Background and Strengths

Since 1998 I have worked with individuals, couples and families on such issues as stress, depression, anxiety and relationships at home and at work.

Advantages I bring to my therapy clients in the business and professional world include:

I have a degree in law from Harvard Law School which, together with nine years experience counseling businesses as an attorney, helped me develop skills in negotiating, information gathering, and persuasion.

Additionally, and separately from my therapy practice, I work with business coaching clients where my listening, motivational and organizational skills help them change their workplaces and their lives for the better. As a coach I work with corporate clients to change their interactions with bosses, peers, and direct reports as well as solo entrepreneurs and small business owners to improve customer relationships and work-life balance and to handle the isolation of running their own business. I offer these coaching tools as well to those therapy clients who want them.

In addition to my JD from Harvard, I have a masters degree in marriage and family therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. This program featured a systemic -- or interrelationship -- approach to therapy as well as supervised clinical sessions with individuals, couples and families. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the State of Washington and a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
